TODAY’S ACTIVITY: Firefighters
continued mop up and patrol of fire lines today. A mix of scattered showers and thunderstorms
occurred over the fire area this afternoon, with some areas receiving no
rainfall and others getting up to a ¼ inch of precipitation.
The 140 firefighters temporarily camped at Crowley
will be returning to the Incident Command Post at Juntura this evening. Once
again, the fire line will be staffed overnight to continue mop up and patrol
operations. A total of 348 fire
personnel are assigned including 9 Type 2 crews, 17 engines, 4 dozers and
support aircraft.
A transfer of command will
occur on Wednesday at 6 a.m. when the Northern Rockies National Incident
Management Team (Greg Poncin) leaves and Oregon Interagency Incident Management
Team 4 (Brian J. Watts) resumes management of the entire fire perimeter in both
zones.
